DESCRIPTION:Along the Silk Road The Music of the Levant & North Africa With Vocalist Eman Abdelghani On April 18, 2026 at 8:00 PM, the National Arab Orchestra returns to the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn for Along the Silk Road: The Music of the Levant and North Africa, Directed by Michael Ibrahim – an evening celebrating the depth and diversity of Arab music across the Levant and North Africa. Making her Michigan debut, acclaimed Egyptian vocalist Eman Abdelghani joins the orchestra for an evening that spans the golden age of Arab song, beloved folkloric traditions, and rich orchestral repertoire. Joining the stage as well are the Jawqa Community Choir, led by celebrated vocalist Lubana Al Quntar, and the Sound of Joy Choir, promising an evening that only grows more extraordinary. The concert will also include the premiere of a new composition by Founder and Music Director Michael Ibrahim, a work of Arab orchestral music entering the world for the very first time.
